Meghan Bynum is a double-board certified Nurse Practitioner, in both specialties of Adult Gerontology Acute Care and Family Practice. She graduated from the University of South Alabama with a masters in nursing. She is certified by the American Association of Critical Care Nursing (AACN) and the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC). She received her BS in nursing from George Washington University.
She has 20+ years of service in healthcare ranging from being a paramedic to working in the emergency department and surgical intensive care unit. During her time as a Nurse Practitioner in Trauma/Acute Care General Surgery, she developed a strong passion for root cause analysis, patient education, and empowerment. This passion ultimately guided her toward a career in Gastroenterology, where she focuses on preventing surgical cases through disease management, education, and empowering patients to take control of their health.
